Although what many articles and books say about Silicon Valley is true, it still remains the most dominant place in the United States where startups often grow to be successful businesses. However, it is critical to know the roots of Silicon Valley’s phenomenal success since the effects of the innovation, business process management, and marketing that it embodies can have a profound impact upon where a startup founder will choose to base their business.

The birth of Apple came to the world via a collaboration between Steve Jobs and Jim Clark, who were both key members of Microsoft at the time. Their relationship with each other was not always a happy one, which would eventually lead to a divorce. After this breakup the two would collaborate again on a project that would later be named NeXT. The idea of using a computer to create software for people was revolutionary and Apple’s iPhone was the product that was born out of this concept.

From there on Apple would go onto become one of the most successful companies in the world thanks in large part to its use of the computer as a marketing tool. It also used it in the form of the iPad. Not long after this Apple released an iWork application that allowed users to access Microsoft Office applications from their device. This allowed the user to work in multiple platforms all without leaving the comfort of their home. All of these things were great at the time but they are now the backbone of everything that the iPhone has become today.

This type of innovation is something that every entrepreneur dreams about when he or she first set out on a new venture. There are so many aspects of the technology industry that are completely unique to their industry such as social media. However, if a person wishes to launch a business based on a unique and innovative idea then it is imperative that they know how to manage their business accordingly. This is something that many startup in Silicon Valley do not know how to do.

What I mean by this is that successful entrepreneurs tend to over-think things. I have seen a number of articles written about how to get a business off the ground. Many of them talk about hiring the right personnel, creating a website, getting investors, raising capital, and getting the word out on the internet about the product or service. While these things are necessary parts of starting up a business, they are not nearly as important as getting the basics right. For instance you need to know how to market your business to your prospective customers and how to get the word out about your new venture.

A new business is going to require that you take the time to find a niche that is not being exploited yet and then make the effort to fill it. This takes the work and effort that a startup entrepreneur takes in planning out and executing. Therefore, you have to make the effort to research a business idea thoroughly so that you can understand everything about it before taking action.
